From Vision to Innovation — The Story of Brink Dynamics

Brink Dynamics was founded in the early 1990s by Chris van den Brink, a Dutch aerospace engineer born in Canada — and a former professional snowboarder. His passion for dynamic motion and mechanical design drove him to create a company focused on turning unconventional ideas into real, working technologies.

One of Chris’s most iconic creations came in the late 1990s: the Carver, a three-wheeled leaning vehicle that combined the thrill of a motorcycle with the safety and control of a car. Featuring the patented Dynamic Vehicle Control (DVC) system — which allowed the vehicle to automatically tilt into corners — the Carver was a breakthrough in personal mobility and earned international recognition for its innovation.

Driven by a deep engineering mindset, Brink Dynamics expanded over the following decades into battery systems, electric vehicles, and energy technology. A key milestone was the development of the PEEC Power Range Extender, a compact generator designed to extend the range of light electric vehicles. Fully developed in-house, the PEEC system demonstrated Brink Dynamics’ ability to create practical solutions that enhance electric mobility without compromising efficiency or design.

Today, Chris continues to lead the company with a growing team — including his sons, River and Damian. Together, they carry the Brink Dynamics legacy forward with a new generation of energy and creativity, keeping the spirit of innovation alive.

As part of our continued growth, Brink Dynamics works closely with a wide network of manufacturers and technology partners. Our team regularly visits Asia to strengthen partnerships, oversee production quality, and stay at the forefront of international innovation.

With more than 20 patents and a portfolio of pioneering projects, Brink Dynamics continues to shape the future of engineering — one invention at a time.
